Birth Circle
A ritual container for creating connection, building self trust and opening to inner wisdom.
For those who are hoping to conceive, pregnant, postpartum or with young children. Babies in arms welcome.
11AM-1PM the First Thursday of every month at
Home Grown Families
201 Charlotte St, Asheville, NC 28801
Starts November 2nd!
We will gather in council to share from our hearts, accessing the collective wisdom and grounding our mothering experiences in the witness and love of other mothers. Everything is welcome here. Your joy and celebration, the challenge, the grief, the innocence and the earned wisdom.
Birthing a baby, whether its the first time or the 6th time, is a rite of passage that changes the woman, the family and the world as this soul comes to earth. In any healthy culture, rite of passage happens within community, held, witnessed and generously supported. In modern society, the collective culture of women has been severely disrupted by many hundreds of years of oppression.
But women all over the world are re birthing this collective culture. We are learning how to lift each other up, how to take responsibility for our bodies and the lives of our children. We are learning how to speak what we want and need and follow our desires. We are learning how to show up for each other and trust that what is given returns to us amplified.
Nearly every mother I know experiences some form of isolation and exhaustion in her pregnancy and especially in the postpartum. So many mothers are grappling with big unanswerable questions about how to shift this isolation and the feelings of being alone in their mothering.
This circle is my offering to the cultural restoration already underway in so many hearts.
I believe in simple medicines. Togetherness is one of the most basic human and deeply feminine needs. We are created to turn to each other for strength and comfort in times of need.
Together in sacred circle we are more than the sum of our parts. We are Witness, Guidance, Refection, Wisdom, Courage and Communion. We have so much to offer each other when we show up with open hearts and a vulnerable curiosity.
“Paeonia has a gift for holding sacred space and circles. Her presence is grounding and nourishing and the space she creates is filled with safety and allows for community and vulnerability. Finding such a community when entering into motherhood is truly a blessing” -Miwa, circle participant.
Please register ahead and arrive on time, so that we can settle into a strong container.
*This space is certainly open to non-binary people on the childbearing continuum. You, and the language you use to identify yourself, will be honored.
